The Cementerio de La Recoleta is bordered by the streets of Vicente Lopez, Junin, Azcuenaga, and the Plaza Intendente Torcuato de Alvear.

By far, the most famous person to have been buried at the Recoleta Cemetery is Eva Peron (also known as "Evita" or María Eva Duarte de Perón).

Other rich or famous people laid to rest in Recoleta Cemetery include several Argentine presidents, actors, scientists, performers, and the country's wealthiest families.
