This museum is located inside the University of Buenos Aires at the Faculty of Economics. It was opened on April 28th, 2005 to bring light to the dangers of borrowing money from foreign countries.

The displays show how the foreign debt grew over the years, the responsible parties and how it all ended up leading to the largest foreign debt default in history of about one hundred billion U.S. dollars. This economic crisis also caused the infamous Buenos Aires street riots in 2001.

There is no entrance fee for the museum and the displays begin way back in 1810 with the country's first bids for independence.
